Empower Yourself Before & During your Massage Treatment

Written by Jacquelyn Ohinski, RMT

Ever walked out of a massage and thought, “Hmm that wasn’t what I was expecting?” Here’s the most important thing you need to remember before you start any massage - THIS IS YOUR SESSION. You know your body better than anyone! Listen to what it tells you it needs. Don't be nervous to use your voice. We want to work together to meet your goals.  Many people aren’t sure what can be modified before the massage even starts, so here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Need more or less pressure?  Ask

  • Uncomfortable with a technique being used?  Say so.

  • Dislike the music? Want silence? We can accommodate

  • Want a minimal talk environment to unwind? Please say so

  • Want a treatment fully clothed? Or want a tradition oil massage? Let us know

  • Feel free to ask questions when you need clarification about a particular treatment you are undergoing

  • Are you in need of a safe, non judgmental space to talk about something?  We can provide a sound board for your healing journey

Setting up for an empowered massage experience
