Justin is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelors of Physical and Health Education (2009) and Master of Science in Physical Therapy (2011). Justin is an Advanced level Myofascial Release Therapist with additional courses in Paediatrics and Fascial Cranium. He is well versed in treating plagiocephaly, tongue-tie and torticollis infants as well as issues with the jaw or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) in all populations. He is especially passionate about helping patients with long-standing complex and chronic pain.
Justin's first exposure to Myofascial Release was as a student when he shadowed an Expert Level Therapist for 5 weeks as part of his clinical training. From that moment he knew that this approach to health and wellness and treatment of the human BEING would provide him with rich learning opportunities to grow alongside his patients. He approaches every new interaction with this goal in mind.
Derrin has successfully treated a wide variety of patients in multiple countries as both a PT and RMT—including post-operates college athletes, chronic pain sufferers, neurological patients, and those with everyday aches and pains. He utilizes an approach incorporating tissue techniques targeting the fascial system, which connects and supports our body from head to toe, rehabilitative exercises to restore lost strength, and mobility, and unique functional education to retrain and empower people in correctly using their bodies to reduce pain and regain the ability to independently perform their chosen activities.
Shannon is a registered Physiotherapist who specializes in myofascial release, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and mind-body coaching. She works in prenatal and postpartum care, as well as with incontinence and chronic pain, providing the treatment and support to guide her clients' well-being and recovery.
Shannon's journey with myofascial release and pelvic health began in 2013 on a personal and professional level. Her training, her experience working in mental health, and her own healing journey have shaped her understanding of healing as a mind-body-soul endeavour, and affirmed her belief in compassionate, trauma-informed, individualized care.
